How far in advance do you take bookings?
I take bookings up to a year in advance. The sooner the better will ensure you get dates you want. I may have some room for last minute bookings so do reach out and we can see what can be done. Generally though booking well in advance ensures you get your date and have family prep time however that looks for you.
How soon after sending an inquiry can I book with you?
Totally up to you! I enjoy hearing about what your vision is so I can provide you with a session that captures the important moments to you. This can happen over email after you fill out my contact page. I also have a number of questionnaires, specific to your session choice, that give you space to define what is important to you.
When will we get our photos?
Your will receive an online gallery link with all your photos within 2-3 weeks (sometimes less depending on the season I photograph your story). You can download all the photos from the gallery but also share them, create favorite lists and even send to distant family eletronically!
How many pictures will we receive?
I always choose quality rather than quantity. My packages are "all inclusive" so you will receive all the edited images from your session that tell your story. You will receive all the images in a digital gallery, at high resolution, which you will then download to a safe location. You can then print and share your images at your convenience. In whatever size works for you. The gallery is your story to keep.
I want to book a session with you. Do I need to fill out the contact information and send it?
No you don't need to. I have a book now feature that allows you to go straight to my booking site. This site allows you to book your date and time, based on my calendar availability as well as provide payment for your booked session. A questionnaire is provided for each session type and allows you to add the details you want me to know. So efficient, you book online securing the date and time that works for you.
My booking calendar is generally open four months ahead so if you want a date that I haven't opened up yet you can request it through my booking site and I will reply back to discuss with you.
My kids are energetic, not sure how my family will do with a longer session...what should I do?
Your session is about you and your family. I promise going with their energy flow will give you the best gallery and be an amazing reflection of you family. I have high energy and really enjoy kids, even teenagers :) I have worked with children of all ages for many, many years, it's my super power :)
You don't need to control your kids or make sure they smile at me or my camera. Your only job as their parent during your session is to interact with them as much as possible. Your family is beautiful and your story is even more beautiful, I promise!
I only need a few photos one or two will do, do you offer mini sessions?
I typically do not do mini sessions. The general format of a mini session does not fit with my style of photography.
Moving forward I may consider motherhood and women empowerment mini sessions. If either of these would interest you please contact me, I would love to hear from you :)
Do you provide a styling guide? How should we dress?
You can dress in whatever fashion you want, it's your session! It really depends on what you want your gallery to look like. These are your photos, you will have them forever hopefully as prints on your walls, photobooks, framed throughout your home, gifts for family...the possibilities are endless. So it really is about how timeless you want your images to be. With that in mind, I do have suggestions if this is something that matters to you, as well as a styling guide if you want. I am available to answer questions and provide guidance if you wish.
Ultimately this is your session and you get to do as you wish, I just ask that you come relaxed and ready to have fun!
Why do you limit you sessions to single families and have an additional charge for extended families/larger groups?
As your photographer, I will do my very best to provide the time and space that allows your family to shine and reflects the love you share.
Larger extended families/groups have other needs and combinations. As your photographer I ensure the same relaxed, easy flow that individual families receive so that even extended families/groups shine and reflect the heartfelt joy that prompted you to hire me to capture your story.
